03 Nov 1955, Hollis, Long Island, New York, USA — Hollis, Long Island: Huggs Raids Toy Factory. Television’s celebrated monkey-shiner “Muggs” by name or to be technical, “J. Fred Muggs” took things into his own hands today when he was let loose in the Hollis, Long Island Toy Factory. It didn’t take Muggs long to find a kindred spirit among the toys, and anyone with intentions of separating Muggs from his newly-acquired friend would be wise to take along a little protective equipment. The doll which bears a striking resemblance to Muggs is all togged out in the best doll chimp fashion.
